We Are Three Little Figs
Growing up we shared many experiences and dreams around the kitchen table. “Mom Cowan” as known to all was always cooking up something unusual and unusually good. Moussaka, authentic Chinese, or Indian curry were not exactly commonplace dinners in small town 1970’s, and Mom often drove quite far to find the right ingredients. She taught us the importance of authenticity, creativity and love while encouraging us to experiment with food. All of us at Three Little Figs have lived our lives with a passion for good food and now we bring it to you, in a jar. Enjoy!
As one of Hollywood’s most notable fashion stylists, Liz has had the opportunity to travel the globe. She has explored cathedrals, ethnic villages, ruins and monuments but as often as not she remembers a place by the amazing food she had there — the most perfect tomatoes in Spain, the outdoor markets of Italy, street food in Thailand. Her love of travel, of perfection and the desire to create brought Liz back to her first love, food. She is always dreaming up new ways to bring those memories to you one spoonful at a time.
As the full time mom of twins, Carol has spent the last 12 years channeling the energy that she formerly put into her career to all things domestic. An avid canner, her pantry is always stocked with preserved local produce. She has long understood the magic of capturing the freshness of fruits and vegetables at their peak. Through Three Little Figs, she is now able to share the fruits of her labors with you as well as friends and family.
Our sous chef Jody is truly amazing. Her dedication and love of food run deep. A recent graduate of Oregon Culinary Institute she splits her time and incredible talents between the kitchens of Nostrana and ours.
Our token man Spencer is like a ninja in the prep kitchen. He can peel and chop a peach so fast it makes your head spin. A musician by night, we are lucky to have him on our team by day.
His educated palate and enthusiasm have now found a home at Three Little Figs. Who knows what exciting pairings he’ll discover next.
